reincarnation in Islam

Well my friends i am back and haven't updated for a while. This is for the simple fact that i have been looking through Akber Ally Merahlly's website and found so many false accusation it is impossible to adress every single one in one blog. But lets start with reincarnation. The quran is very specific about this . Reincarnation is possible in Islam this is the quote that points to it:

"And you were dead, and He brought you back to life. And He shall cause you to die, and shall bring you back to life, and in the end shall gather you unto Himself." (2:28).
"And say not of those who are slain in the way of Allah. "They are dead." Nay, they are living, though ye perceive (it) not."(The Quran, 2:154).
"From the (earth) did We Create you, and into it Shall We return you, And from it shall We Bring you out once again." (The Quran, 20:55).
"And Allah has produced you from the earth, Growing (gradually), And in the End He will return you Into the (earth), And raise you forth (Again at the Resurrection)." (The Quran, 71:17-18).
"Nor will they there Taste Death, except the first Death; and He will preserve Them from the Penalty Of the Blazing Fire." (The Quran, 44:56).
"Is it (the case) that We shall not die, except our first death, And that we Shall not be punished?' Verily this is The supreme achievement! For the like of this Let all strive, Who wish to strive." (The Quran, 37:58-61).

The quran specifically talks about rebirths an so on

reincarnation has no basis in islam. and those references do not prove reincarnation.

its simple really.. this life is a test and everyone gets one opportunity to make the most of it. if u believe in Allah and His Messenger and do righteous deeds u will be successful. and if u don't, u will be among the losers. Allah SWT says that He "..has imposed no difficulties on you in religion" (Quran 22:78). so this religion is easy enough that we do not NEED more than one life to fulfill it. rather, this life of ours is enough of an opportunity to please Him.

also, reincarnation is a pagan concept (buddhism & hinduism). whereas in the abrahamic faiths non-mystic/mainline Jews, Christians believe that reincarnation is not possible.

also sin in the world is increasing.. if reincarnation were true the human population of the world should decrease as sin increases, but human population is increasing.

so not only is the concept of reincarnation not necessary, it is illogical.

if read these verses which outline the path of the human being as embryo to the Last Day, it is obvious that there is no reincarnation...

"023.012
YUSUFALI: Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay);
PICKTHAL: Verily We created man from a product of wet earth;
SHAKIR: And certainly We created man of an extract of clay,

023.013
YUSUFALI: Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed;
PICKTHAL: Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging;
SHAKIR: Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place,

023.014
YUSUFALI: Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create!
PICKTHAL: Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators!
SHAKIR: Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators.

023.015
YUSUFALI: After that, at length ye will die
PICKTHAL: Then lo! after that ye surely die.
SHAKIR: Then after that you will most surely die.

023.016
YUSUFALI: Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up.
PICKTHAL: Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again).
SHAKIR: Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. "

"And you were dead, and He brought you back to life. And He shall cause you to die, and shall bring you back to life, and in the end shall gather you unto Himself." (2:28).

"And you were dead" refers to when you were lifeless. We were all lifeless and Allah gave us life when we we were born, then he will cause us to die and bring us back to life on the Day of Resurrection so that we can be gathered together in front of Him. NONE of the translations say "and He brought you BACK to life." That would imply we had life before are returning to this life. But none of the translations say "back".

"They are dead." Nay, they are living, though ye perceive (it) not."(The Quran, 2:154).

You didn't quote the verse in its entirety... It mentions that those who are alive are those that are slain in the way of Allah (the Martyrs). This verse relates to 3:169 where it says:
YUSUFALI: Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord;

This is a special reward given to the Martyrs, it does NOT refer to reincarnation because the verse says they are with Allah.

"From the (earth) did We Create you, and into it Shall We return you, And from it shall We Bring you out once again." (The Quran, 20:55).

We were originally created from Earth and when we die we return to Earth as our bodies decompose and we will be recreated from the earth again on the Day of Resurrection. No reincarnation!

"And Allah has produced you from the earth, Growing (gradually), And in the End He will return you Into the (earth), And raise you forth (Again at the Resurrection)." (The Quran, 71:17-18).

Same as before.

"Nor will they there Taste Death, except the first Death; and He will preserve Them from the Penalty Of the Blazing Fire." (The Quran, 44:56).

The "first" death refers to the death we experience in this life.

"Is it (the case) that We shall not die, except our first death, And that we Shall not be punished?' Verily this is The supreme achievement! For the like of this Let all strive, Who wish to strive." (The Quran, 37:58-61).

Same as before. Those who are preserved from the Hellfire shall not experience any death after the first death (in this life).
